Tomcat wirft keine Exceptions

Web-Container ist ein Tomcat 10.1, IDE eclipse.

Wo ist das Problem? Nun, wenn ich absichtlich eine Exception provoziere, sollte der tomcat diese in die console schreiben. Macht er aber nicht. Es wurde nichts extrag an Logging konfiguriert, alles default.

Hat jemand eine Idee, was das sein kann?

Ob Logging konfiguriert wurde kann man in der POM nicht sehen aber log4j hast du schon mal als Dependency drin ...

Ohne eine Log4j2-Konfiguration wird Log4j2 ein Fallback-Verhalten nutzen: 1. Es wird nur ERROR-Level und höher geloggt. 2. Die Ausgabe geht an die Konsole (System.out). Kann es sein, dass du nur Warnings schreibst?

Bislang habe ich default-mäßig nichts konfiguriert, also first make it run. Da kam immer eine Exception, wenn ich sie provoziert habe und die ist ja error-level. Und an System.out ausgegebene Meldungen sollte ich im eclipse ja sehen.
