Ich habe meine Applikatin um den von emf erzeugten Editor gebastelt....nun habe ich einen Tree und einen 3d Panel, der den Viewport hält, der einen SelectionProvider implementiert. Vorher hatte ich eine RCP anwendung ohne emf, und der Aufruf getSite().setSelectionProvider(vtk); hat funktioniert. Jetzt leider nicht mehr.....? wo wie muss ich meinen Selection Provider anmelden?

wenn ich das im editor mache ...also

IViewport vtk = Engine.getInstance().getViewport();

site.setSelectionProvider(this);
site.setSelectionProvider(vtk);

geht mein Kontextmenü nicht mehr wirklich und alles ist auf nicht nachvollziehbare weise zerschossen.....

Schreib bitte etwas mehr als 2 Sätze. Ohne deinen Code zu kennen kommt man mit diesen Aussagen nicht weit.
Du hast also ein 3d(?) Panel? Ist das was eigenes, oder auf basis des EMF Example Editors? Darin ist ein TreeViewer?
Was soll in der ISelection stehen? Wo und wie willst du die Selection verwenden?

sry....also ich hab ,wie gesagt , um das emf editor plug in drum rum gebatelt. Der TreeViewer, der dort in der Editor Klasse erzeugt wird soll eine Selection bekommen. Wie ich diese vollstopfe und danach wieder auslese ist mir klar. Vorher hatte ich eben eine RCP anwendung mit einem TreeViewer in eriner ViewPart, und den 3d Panel in eriner solchen, und sie beide gegenseitig mit selections gefüttert. Der 3d Panel ist kein Editor, sondern ein normaler ViewPart (public class View3D extends ViewPart implements ISelectionListener ) der einen vtkPanel hat , der ISelectionProvider implementiert......die sieht so aus

Du hast also einen einen (EMF) Editor und einen Viewpart? Beide sollen SelectionProvider sein und beide sollen auf die Selection des jeweils anderen hören? Also im Prinzip ein Link with Editor?

getViewSite().getPage() liefert org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchPage@e0420b

getSite liefert PartSite(id=org.teraport.viewer.views.View3DID) ; also den 3D Panel

Und dein 3D Panel bekommt ein Event wenn sich die Selektion der im EMF Editor ändert, aber andersherum nicht?
Setz doch mal einen Breakpoint in addSelectionListener im ISelectionProvider des EMF Editors um zu sehen ob er überhaupt registriert wird.

warum im editor einen Breakpoint setzen? Meldet sich nicht listener beim provider an? Dann müssst ich doch im Viewport schauen ob sich der Editor anmeldet? :bahnhof:
